This device looks like a common cigarette with a red luminous diffuser producing a view of glowing cigarette; a focusing lens with monochromatic emitter of visible light spectrum is installed in the filter side with a certain fixed wavelength having effect on the rear wall of oral pharynx.
The device functioning is based on specific effect of the light spectrum on oral pharynx’s mucous membrane and blood as a whole, and it is determined by effect on certain chain of pathogenesis, in particular, at the level of nicotine acetyl choline receptor. These receptors are activated by acetyl choline, releasing persynaptic effectors. The receptors are designated to be “nicotine” one as the effect of acetyl choline is produced by nicotine and releases a signal of nicotine overdosing, which results in emetic effect if the smoker wishes to smoke after using the device.
