This invention belongs to livestock sector, in particular, hog breeding, and it may be used in agriculture to stimulate pig growth in an intensive raising technology.
A method for increasing the live weight growth in pigs in intensive raising technology consists in exposure of the animals to monochromic emitters of visible light spectrum. Pigs’ live weight growth increase was reached by 24% per day on the average as compared with the pigs not subjected to this method, with the same food allowance. This is connected with the fact that this method uses visible light having effect on chemical structures of live cell absorbing certain wavelengths of visible light. In the membrane, conformation changes, change of potential and sensitivity to the effect of biologically active substances occur, which results in effect in activation of metabolism in the body and growth increase with the same food allowance. In addition, application of visible light spectrum with an intensive raising technology contributes to abrupt reduction of basic diseases in pigs typical for the given period of time, which improves the meat quality as well.
